Interlude.

Throughout all the sock knitting that has been going on, I’ve slowly been working on my wedding shawl. So far, I’m quite pleased with how it’s looking, and I am extremely pleased with the yarn. This is my first time working with 100% cashmere, and I am in love with how soft and light it is. Of course, cashmere is also rather fragile in 2ply form, so I’ve had to watch myself; I tend to pull a lot.

Once my next batch of socks are done, I will be working on it in earnest. I’m glad to have an excuse to work on a lace project that I will actually wear. Lace knitting (especially complex patterns) has always been lots of fun, but I don’t really ever wear shawls. This is going to be a fun one to wear.
