The Cleaning – Stage 2: Categorization/picture-taking

Another major reason I am motivated to organize my yarn and yarn supplies is so I can put it all on Ravelry, especially my stash and needles. I can never remember what exactly I have (even though I don’t have that much), and I have a bad, bad habit of losing double pointed needles and forgetting to mark what size my circular needles are, meaning that I have lots of everything. I bought this yesterday, and I’m hoping it will help keep me more organized. Also, it’s pretty. Once I’m finished taking pictures/categorizing/putting away needles, it will be time for Stage 3: sell!

I’m also unsure about what to do with the leftover yarn from my sockapalooza pal’s socks: should I send it to her with the socks, or keep it for myself? Should I make something else out of the remainder to give her? Should I horde it for myself and make anklets for myself? Thoughts? And, I’m still trying to track down extras to give her, but I’m not sure what else would fit.
